Progress of the T7

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Since I started waiting for the PMDG T7, I kept on thinking when will it be released!!! Now I've seen that the manuals are already out, I'm pretty sure the T7 is close to release. But I got a question here, the pictures in the manuals are taken out directly from the PMDG products, so how much more time would it take for the initial release? Would it be before Mid-January?

*Rob posts four topics in under a week with tons of news, an end to these topics yippeeeeeee  *

Ohh..

- Serious note, just read the latest topics. They're planning the release schedule at the moment, I doubt we'll know until it's a week or so away. I also doubt the wait is TOO much longer with the positivity in the latest updates.

But I got a question here, the pictures in the manuals are taken out directly from the PMDG products,

I haven't bought the manuals but I think the pictures are from Boeing and not PMDG. The 744 and 737 printed manuals were from Boeing, so I don't see why PMDG couldn't get the actual manuals for the 777.

Now I've seen that the manuals are already out, I'm pretty sure the T7 is close to release.

If I remember correctly, when the 737 manuals were released, the NGX was still months away from release. So I wouldn't bet that the 777 is near the end of development.

Would it be before Mid-January?

Since there has been no mention of official beta testing yet, I would say maybe June, if no later.

I doubt we'll know until it's a week or so away.

I think that sounds on par with what they did with the NGX.

I also believe that the 'easy' part of the development is putting the major elements together. The realy difficult job is getting it all to hang together so that it feels like a real B777. This can take a great deal of testing, tweaking and elapsed time.

When it's ready, It's ready. it's better to wait for the product than it is to wait for numerous service packs.

Hey, where is that thread last year when we all guess on the release date? I wonder if anyone picked 2013? I said June 2012 - I should revise it to June 2013.

Anyway, in prep for the 777, I am flying the VC a lot with the 737NGX. I still prefer the old school 2D, but time to suck it up and go with te 3D.

(wow - another thread with release dates and 2D vs 3D).

guys-

Please!! lets not start this kind of thread....full of speculation etc

There is no way any of us know the release date, including PMDG. there are many variables and obsticles along the way.
