I'm flying the MAAM United DC3 in FSX DX10 using Steve's fixer program and it is working great apart from one small issue - parts of the engine and prop shaft are missing. I fixed this for DX9 by copying the r4d_engineparts.bmp file from texture.bea to texture.ual, but for some reason this fix does not seem to work with DX10. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone have a fix for the fix?

Yes,

Use the Dx10 Toolbox to convert the 8 bit textures, page 68 of the manual.

If you have a problem with just this one texture, you can use DxtBmp to open

it and save it as a 16 bit texture.

Regards,

Nick

PS Different aircraft model TuFun

Thanks Nick. In the meantime I tried another version of the engine parts file (one dated 2006) which seems to work OK. If I have any problems with this I'll try your idea. Thanks again.

LOL!!! Sorry. Funny when you see only DC3, not seeing MAAM.  That's a great model too!
