Hello All,Well, I'm "sorta-kinda" a new member. I've been lurking for a while, before joining. So here I finally get to saying a formal "Hello"I'm a "semi-retired" ex training manager for an international chemical company, now amusing myself by doing workshops on all of the MS Office products, and MS Project. I've been a Flight Sim addict for too many years to mention, with about 100 Hrs of Virtual Airline time in my logbook. Since I got MSTS though, I've "grounded" myself, and gotten into Train Simming in a big way. I'm fairly comfortable with the Activity Editor, so if I can help with other's questions .. I'll try !!Regards, Bob Kambach .. Andover NJ

Just a line or two to thank you for accepting me. This is my first attempt at anything like this so please bear with me. I'm John but everyone calls me "JJ". I've been a trucker for 35 years but always had a love for trains. When I bought MSTS I didn't know it was addictive. I spend more time there than with my other addiction, Warbirds III. I'll probably have lots of questions, most you've likely heard hundreds of times already. Once again thanks for the oppertunity..............................JJP.S. Attached are pics of two trains that i would never have known how to set up if it wasn't for this great site of yours.

Hullo to you allI'm Henk Kristel aka HawK53, and some of you might known me already, or heard of me (not true I'll tell ya!!) I live in The north-west part of HollandAge is 55, and a Ret.R.D.- Navy Chef (hence the love for Trains :-hmmm )My great passion is MSTS, although i do not have the skill's needed to make the lovely addon's for this "game", someone has to do the hard work of trying them out :+ , so I'll gladly volunteer for the job.My Computer skill's are reasonable, I started with a "C= Vic-20"and used Windows long before MS "invented" the name.On forehand I beg of you, to excuse me from typos that I might make in the future, none of them are intended, English is not my native lingo, so please bare/correct me when it is not clear if i'm trying to make a point/post or answer someone.Time to jump on the train:-wave

Hi AllAfter flightsimming for some 5 years now my enthusiasm and interst still holds strong... I'd been looking at the Trainsim package everytime I went into a software store and always said 'Who the hell wants to do that'! Finally, yesterday i took the plunge and bought the package (I guess the answer was 'I do.' :-). I am reasonably impressed (probably with the novelty of it all) but I don't know whether this will sustain my interst as much as flightsim. I hope it does though. Are there any tutorials anyone could refer me to -- very much like the ABC of flightsim (installing etc)Thanks all - glad to be here.Erich

Well, since my previous introduction post became unreadable in the old Newbie thread (old newbie? ;) ), I'll post again and hope I don't cause this thread to crash as well :D .As you might guess from my screen name, my name is Ken Pryor. I'm 37 years old, married with children (and now a 3 month old granddaughter! :) ). I've worked in City government for 15 years.I've just recently gotten into MSTS, but have always loved railroads. My Grandfather was a track maintenance foreman for the Illinois Central for 40+ years and my uncle was a fireman on an IC locomotive for a number of years as well. One of my favorite memories is from going to my aunts house in Farina, Illinois and running down the street when I heard the horn to watch the IC blast through there at high speed, since they only came through my town at about 20 mph. Sadly, the IC doesn't go through either my aunts town or mine anymore.I have found MSTS to be a very enjoyable new hobby. I am still very much a newbie at it and am having fun learning as I go. I've spent a lot of time with Flight Simulator, but have cut my flying time back considerably since buying TS.Anyway, I thank all of you who have helped me getting started with TS, especially to George for sending me the manual. I hope to become a productive member of the community and hope I can help someone else out like you all have helped me already.KP
