Rotation: to help with this make sure you set your pitch trim setting to something like -1.8UP. This will also help with maintaining V2+10 on the initial climbout. Pitch trim is set using the Home and End keys and you watch the figure on the F/CTRL page of the lower ECAM.The max N2 percent is 105% so going over 100% with TOGA thrust is to be expected and is normal. Just noticed that my N2 is going very, very high(around 102-105) on take off. Not sure what could be causing this because I am still using the default settings aside from thrust(intake volume settings never seemed to work outside of the default value of 29 for some reason, couldn't rotate ). This happened when I set the number lower and also higher, not sure why. Any ideas or suggestions for either problem?Ken

WOW, this is amazing! Just finished my first flight with this bird and I am in awe still. Not sure if those CFM dynamics are like IAEs, but that was a really nice flight. Have one question concerning the PSS panel and I know it's been asked before because I've read a lot of the posts. On the IFR/VFR panels, the dreaded mouse flicker occurs. I tried the patch on the PSS website to no avail, but read to turn off the system panel, which indeed works. The problem with this is that when you try to switch from any panel to the VFR panel, the VFR panel overlays the IFR panel. The only way I found to fix this is by manually turning off the IFR panel in Views and it's rather annoying, especially nearing finals. Are there any fixes for this?EDIT: Hey, thanks a lot Scoob! That information really helps. Will make sure to copy that down for future reference. Does "inlet_area" refer to intake thrust? Not sure where intake thrust is defined in the Aircraft.cfg file. Also, should I be editing my rated N2 RPM for these changes or leave them be? They're currently at 29920, but haven't been able to find any information on the IAEV2500-A5(that's the engine the airline that I am simming uses).Thanks for all the help thus far guys.

Wow! Thanks a ton once again for providing excellent information. Changing files around as we speak, but I had one question concerning the LTU flight dynamics you suggested. It shows the air file is CFM flight characteristics, which is fine, but how much of a difference is there between IAE and CFM type engines? Is it something you can really notice or just subtle differences?Regardless, I can't thank you enough for the information you posted, will make sure to post results after I get a few hours in on the new bird. :)Thanks again,Ken

As you probably know we in PSS Towers don't support the merge but I'm happy to answer questions on it on an unofficial basis without my PSS hat on.a) and : The merge guidance document is very old and one or two things came up long after it was written. One of these is the Air file flap setting in line 315. His A319 and A321 ones in particular are excellent. A google search will produce the A319 and A321 ones easily but the A320 can be tricky to find. There is one at http://flusipilot.de...id&a=3&c=10&s=2 - look for the LTU one second down. You will still need to make the EGT temp changes etc. There are some good IAE sound packages on avsim which work well with the merge. I have some questions concerning an iFDG model/PSS panel merge. I followed the guide from your site, but I noticed the flap indications were wrong with the default settings. I researched it a little more and in order to use the iFDG air file, you have to change the flap positions from 5 to 6 and tweak the aircraft.cfg. I know how to change the flap positions in AirEd and also know that I would need to redirect the "sim" value to the new AirEd file.a; Is this information correct?b; If the information isn't, what would I need to tweak in the aircraft.cfg to accomplish fixing the flap indication?c; The wing lights don't seem to want to turn on anymore, not sure if it's the texture I'm using, but it has a wing light bmp from the looks of things. Any fix for this?d; I keep getting an engine overheat warning on the EICAS monitor during TO/GO and autopilot. I hear this is standard and happens to almost everyone, but haven't seen anyone specify any fixes. Are there any?BONUS(this has been nagging at me since I ventured into this endeavor); Is there anything else to change in the AirEd settings(or anything for that matter) to make my iFDG/PSS panel merge flights feel more realistic? It kind of feels like I climb really easily during rotate(first time I flew, I nearly stalled on T/O), but I'm not sure whether that was just my load or whether that wasIf this is the wrong place to be asking, then I am sorry and formally request this post be deleted or will do so myself. Hi,I made a merge for Wilco + PA series. If I want to land with '' FLAP 3 '' it's really diffucult to land. VREF 5 sometimes FLAP 3's speed and so. but it's really hard. aircraft coming to below automatic.
