Recommended Posts

After switching to Windows7 and a new FSX install, I can't get Autothumbnail to install.I don't understand the very brief readme. Can anyone tell me how to do the manual installation, or indeed if it works with Win7?Thanks

You can make thumbnails with Paint. Very easy.Bob

I don't know if there is anything special for win7, but I think the key is to have an EXE.xml file in the same folder as your fsx.cfg that looks like this:

<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"><Descr>Launch</Descr><Filename>EXE.xml</Filename>	<Disabled>False</Disabled>	<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>	<Launch.Addon> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Name>Autothumbnail</Name> <Path>E:\Flt_Sim\Autothumbnail\Autothumbnail.exe</Path>	</Launch.Addon></SimBase.Document>

You need to set the correct path for autothumbnail on your machine.scott s..

I couldn't make it run either :( , it did run flawless in Vista 32 though. Maybe someone else could come to rescue us.

Don't know about Win7, but since upgrading to WinXPPro 64 bit, it installs fine but I have not been able to get Autothumbnail to work with the 64 bit OS.Regards:RTH

Autothumbnail has been compiled with incorrect option and will not work on any 64 bit OS.Since the author included source code with the program, it's very easy to fix that. Just replace the exe file with the one linked below:http://www.zshare.net/download/691719708cc75b0c/
