I see the AVSIM Store has the Wilco 777 avilabe for download. Does anyone have a opinion of this product and is it worth buying.Thanks

Hi - Let me save you some time; The Wilco 777 was released about 3+ years ago, and even at the time of release, felt like it was a 5 year old product! It's nothing short of a dog - these days, better freeware is released by the likes of Project Opensky.Trust me, spend one cent on the Wilco 777 and you'll regret it. Although it was developed in the 'FS2004 age' everything about it screams FS2002/FS2000.FSX is sadly without a quality payware 777.

You can soup up various FSX 777s with things like ISG and Sim Avionics, but it takes a bit of work. I've done that with the AeroSim 777 and although it doesn't quite make it a carbon copy of the real thing, I do now have a genuine native FSX Triple Seven with the correct PFDs, the correct FMC and CDU, ACARS and a terrain profile display. Better than no 777 at all. If you have those gauges you can of course do the same thing with the POSKY one too, or indeed the Wilco one if you wanted to.Add-on 777 avionics:http://isgsim.com/http://www.sim-avionics.com/Al

I have a question regarding the Wilco 777 for fsx...it shows it as a 777-200ER however i'm finding that it is NOT an ER because its max range is 11,000 km (rather than the expected 14,000 km), and in fact most of its specs (fuel capacity, max takeoff weight, length, height, wingspan, seating) are actually that of a 777-300 (which would explain the max range as well)...Is this just a labelling error by wilco? is it SUPPOSED TO be a 773 and they mistakenly named it a 772ER? I got the aircraft mainly for its long range but if its just a regular 773 then that defeats the whole purpose of getting it.. better off using the 747 that came with the game..... :(

I think it is a 772LR, but in my sim it flies like a normal 200... I never even get close to that 17000 km range
