Thanks Smoky. I've been in communication with Pete Chapman about the site. Obviously, using a similar name and colors will cause confusion and is inappropriate. He said that he'll redirect the domain early next week. We're going to allow a week or so for any people using that URL to transition to the new location. The offending site and URL should be offline by April 30, 2010.Regardless of how much or little activity is going on at BFU at any particular point in time, we will protect our identity. Thanks, again, Smoky for keeping an eye out.

It is good to see BFU has achieved such standing that other folks look up to. It is flattering really but definitely confusing. Activity may have slowed here for the past year or so but even in real life, things slow down at times, like this period 2008-2010 where businesses all over the world have suffered with reduced workload. Same thing at BFU Thanks for catching this one, Smoky.

I'm embarressed to say that I'm the culprit , but truth to say that I think BFU is (was ) the best site out there. I kept looking for life on the BFU site, but was sad to see there wasn't any, so thought to revive the idea myself (Never thought to check if it had changed location since the Avsim problem). In hindsight, I didn't go about things the right way, for which I appologise to Peter and all concerned, but as I say, the intentions were good.My site has now been completely re-branded and the 'offending' site completely removed from the www.If you guys don't mind. I might pop in now and then for a flight.ATB,Pete C

Thanks, Pete. Glad everything went so smoothly. BFU has always been about openness and we'd be happy to see you pop in now and then for a flight. All the best with BIVP, too.
