SquawkBox 4 SMS Generator for *ANY* AI Traffic packages

I uploaded it to Avsim today, but most of the questions came from FS2004 users, so I updated it to make it also FS2004 compatible.Basically, what this little program does is allow you to use your favorite AI Package (Ultimate Traffic, WOAI) as AI in SquawkBox, so you don't see any more VIP liveries or Paper Planes. its FULLY automated, easy to use but YOU NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, failing to do so can mess up your FS9 instalation!Here's the link to download it:http://www.venetubo.com/SMSCreator.zipEnjoy,

This is amazing, thanks so much. You've saved me about 1000 hours doing it all manually!Does anyone know if it's possible to force non VIP models to show with thier gear down all the time? I realise it's not possible to have them change between gearup/down but wondered it gear down could be made the default as you only see the AI aircraft when they're on the ground really anyway.Cheers again.

its possible, yes... but WAY too messy. I will need to CHANGE the contactpoints sections for each A/C and set the value that corresponds to retraction and extension time to 0, that will indicate the A/C is fixed gear and SB will always show it with gear down. unfortunately, is not a single line that you can change to 1 or 0 and thats it. its the MOST complicated line format :) because is the one that looks like an array:contact.1= 123, 345, 333, 444, 555You can read the SDK for more info.

I think the SMS format is exactly the same, so in theory it should work, but I have not tested it.

Ah ok thanks for that. I guess I'll perhaps go through and change only the models I see most often whenever I have the time.

Done.. I implemented your suggestion, but you need to open the script in notepad and change a variable there. You'll also need to re-download the new version from:http://www.venetubo.com/SMSCreator.zip

*******, you're a hero! Never though I'd see the day that I had a complete package of good models for SB that show their gear.Much appreciated mate.

Just tried a recompile of the SMS using the new version as well as setting the "FIX_GEAR_DOWN = 1". Doesn't seem to work for any of my AI in fs9 unfortunately using mostly WOAI models. Is there any other step other than changing that variable that I'm missing?

paste here the [contacts point] section of the aircraft.cfg file you are having problems with to see if its being changed by the SMS script.

Having the problem with all AI aircraft.
