Imo, maybe you should consider going back to the 1-3 star ratings for payware and keep the golden star for freeware ? As it is it's a bit "deceiving". I mean. When I see a golden star award I immediately think the addon is a top addon (pmdg,leveld...).Vic

I wouldn't classify it as a problem, rather then an annoyance, is that the click point to open the cockpit windows is the window itself. The CS757 and 767 also has this same issue. I like to keep a small ATC window in the upper left corner of the VC, which I can use the mouse to answer ATC. If I miss click the result is the window opening at FL350. What's interesting is the window is the click point while the handle of it is not. Seems backwards to me.

Very good review indeed. It's always hard to make a wealth of information fit into some interesting and entertaining text lines, decorated with some pictures. I see this being a perfect example of how it's done.Regarding the award, I fully agree to use it on this product as one has to see all the features and variants offered, the detail level given and the actual price point of that thing. Hard to beat at 40 bucks, really, really hard. So the value is high and I would absolutely insist on that star if it wasn't already there.Personal preference might differ but this package can cope with the big names in the business while staying at least 30 to 50% below their prices. Well done.

Personal preference but I don't really think feeltheirs stuff can cope with the big names if by big names you mean leveld,pdmg.Even if they cost less.FT planes are partly unfinished and they will prob will never get fixed.Support is what it is...To make a long story short I'd rather pay $80 for a well done addon than buying their stuff.I bought the erjs and the busses but I don't think I'll buy anything off them anymore.V.

Guys I want to buy a erj jet 175 and 195. I went to the wilco site but i cant tell which is the most recent . There is ejets and 175/195 erj v2 . Both are boxed and downloadable.Which one is the most up to date and most comprehensive. Which would you buy todayThanksPeter

Perhaps it's time to rethink the policy that did away with the "star" rating system. I know it was eliminated because there were continual complaints and some of it was downright nasty, though to be honest some of it was justified and I thought at the time that they "threw out the baby with the bathwater." (I was an AVSIM reviewer myself at the time)... But with only a Gold Star it really is an "all or nothing" kind of thing. Whether we should be or not, the fact is that most of us are swayed by it when we see it in a review. Most of the time it's fully earned but as in this case, some of them are questionable. I own at least one product I would not have bought without the Gold Star and am disappointed enough with it that I virtually never use it.How about a sort of "triage" system? Nothing can be completely objective but you can usually get a fairly good consensus that something is: 1=below par 2=a good product that meets reasonable expectations 3=an outstanding product that exceeds reasonable expectations. Then reserve the Gold Star award for something that absolutely stands out - AFTER it's been on the market for a while. You can then check the product forum to see what kind of feedback the customers are giving - take time for a couple of reliable people to try it out and compare their experience with the reviewers - and then if there's agreement, reprint the review with the Gold Star as a real reward to the producer for giving the community an outstanding product that goes "above and beyond."I know some will argue that a 2 would be "the kiss of death" for a product but it doesn't have to be that way. If you put the rating in the text of the review instead of at the top, as with the old star system, then most people would read the whole review and get a balanced perspective on its merits. Even a product with a "1" would still have a fair chance, as people would read the whole review and be able to see why the reviewer judged it as "below par."Ianps. Interesting to see links from scoob to the forum he polices. However any technical comments and requests there are soon stopped. I've repeatedly pointed out to feelthere the errors in the flight director and autopilot roll commands but it gets ignored even when you provide evidence in support. I cannot understand why the same developers can get something right in some products and wrong in others.In e-jets the AP/FD roll cue is 100% overdone, yet in every other ft product it is correct. In the ft Airbus the FMGC is buggy and cannot cope with en route arrival changes, yet 737 PIC and others show they can get FMC route calculations right.I bought e-jets v1 and generally liked it but until they sort out the roll cue I won't be buying v2.Kevin
