Just a word to the FS9 gang that a major update to the freeware TinMouse II B737-200 was just released to the AVSIM library...and now it's sporting a full SP177 autopilot and authrottles. Now i like this aircraft. I was put of initially because I read somewhere that you needed a registered FSUIPC , (I have the freeware version)I tried it anyway and it was fine with me, certainly seemed to function okay. My only little problem came when on one flight I got what seemed like some sort of alert or warning sound that simply would not go away ,I clicked about in a random sort of way on the various buttons on the overhead panel (good job i am not a real pilot, random clicking is probably not a good idea) anyway whether it was luck or not I don't know but the alarm type noise ceased. (trouble is I can't remember what it was clicked on) .I haven't fully read the manual for the panel yet so perhaps I had missed some procedure.Anyways I look forward to the update.One of those freeware gems is this plane.Cheers AndyPS I am not a scrooge, but I just don't have credit cards ,so its a bit of hassle purchasing FSUIPC.Anyway like most of the UK at the moment I am broke(ish)AndyMuch Yuletide YO ho ho! etc to all

This should be in \windows\system32folder. I have checked and reinstalled and it is there but still the error keeps occurring. Has anyone any ideas?Many thanks

If you're running a 64-bit OS, make sure it's also in the windows\sysWOW64 folder. Also, you might want to make sure that system32 is in your system path.edit: Apparently if your DirectX is dated it can cause this too...cure is to go to support.microsoft.com and get the latest DirectX update and install it, and then perhaps consider updating video and sound drivers as well. It probably was the cabin altitude warning - "ALT HORN CUTOUT" readup on aircon/pressurization.

That was it! I remember now.Thanks very much for jogging my memory. I thought the passengers and crew looked a bit blue lipped and sickly.AndyPS that was my only problem the plane still seems to be OK with the freeware FSUIPC.

Hello Bob, Thanks for your response, I am running a 32bit system and as far as I am aware my system32 is in the system path. The DirectX which I have installed is version 9, which I assume is the correct one for running Windows XP.Once again many thanks

There are periodic updates to DX9, the latest of which was just a few weeks ago on 30 Nov. It's not a matter of DirectX 9 versus 10 etc, but whether your DX9 is current. Go to support.microsoft.com, look in the "Downloads and Updates" section, and click on the link to DirectX.Let me know (on the TinMouse forum here on AVSIM, please) if updating DX9 doesn't fix it for you.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Many thanks to Col. Bob for the update and to Mr. SkyGuy for the autopilot gauge. The Tinmouse II is truly one of the best renditions of an airliner anywhere, and I've been enjoying it since its original release four years ago.
