FSX CTD - ATC.DLL

Recommended Posts

Having a terrible time with these CTD's with this faulting module atc.dll. I flew a 3 hour flight last night with the PMDG 777 with Atc and no problems. I tried to fly another one today and it CTD after about an hour in flight.

I am having the same ATC.DLL crash with the same exception code too. I have ruled out my OC because it happens with no OC at all. My memory has passed 8 passes of memtest 86+. I updated my bios and video card drivers. My voltages are normal. My MB CPU and GPU temperatures never exceed 31 degrees and are usually less. My VAS usage never exceeds 2.2GB. I disabled my addon scenery. I've tried it with and without Active Sky. The crash still happens with my browser shut down. I have the UIAutomationcore.dll in my fsx folder. I ruled out my dual monitor setup. I'm sure there are a few other things I have checked that I am forgetting to mention. The interesting thing for me is that this CTD has only happened over the United States. I have flown NGX extensively over Europe and the 777 all over the world to and from Amsterdam and only get the CTD over the USA. The last thing I tried was disabling Ultimate Traffic 2 and got five consecutive flights with no CTD which before the most I ever got was one flight. As soon as I enabled UT2 again I got a CTD. I'm not sure why UT2 would only cause this over the United States but maybe there's a problem with an airline that only flies here or UT2 is just exposing a weakness in my system. I'm at a loss but I'm going to keep trouble shooting to see if I can narrow it down some more.

Ryan, what is MSSE and how do I disable that?

I used to get crashes with UT2 a while back, but then I turned off all GA traffic (UT2 seems to generate way too much), and "moving jetways" option in the UT2 interface."  Since then, it's never caused a crash.
