After some trial and error, I figured out these Shockwave 3D attaching-points for the landing-lights and the nose-wheel taxi-light of the 737-800 WL: [LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 47.000, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 45.000, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.2 = 2, -130.000, 0.090, 5.989, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Aft Strobelight.3 = 1, -51.750, 0.000, 8.700, fx_beaconh_pmdg, //Top Beacon Blinklight.4 = 1, -65.900, 0.000, -5.600, fx_beaconh_pmdg, //Bottom Beacon Blinklight.5 = 3, -79.000, -55.665, 2.100, fx_navred_pmdg, //Left Nav Light redlight.6 = 2, -80.000, -55.986, 2.100, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Left Strobelight.7 = 3, -79.000, 55.665, 2.100, fx_navgre_pmdg, //Right Nav Light greenlight.8 = 2, -80.000, 56.200, 2.100, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Right Strobelight.9 = 3, -84.800, -56.737, 1.800, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Left Position Lightlight.11 = 3, -84.800, 56.691, 1.800, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Right Position Lightlight.12 = 3,-130.000, -0.090, 5.989, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Aft Position Lightlight.13 = 5, 4.50, -8.24, 0.32, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave lightlight.14 = 5, 4.50, 8.16, 0.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave lightlight.15 = 6, 42.60, 0.00, -5.45, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_small.FX // Shockwave lightlight.16 = 5, 5.70, 3.65, -3.80, fx_shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave lightlight.17 = 5, 5.70, -3.65, -3.80, fx_shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light greets,Jan,Groningen-Eelde (EHGG), Netherlands

For the 737, ideally you want a modified version of the A2A Dll, that turns off the TAXI LIGHTS, when the Gear Goes Up. Otherwise, when the Nose gear goes up, you will still see a "Taxi Light Beam" floating in space, below the plane !! A2A did address this with a dll, but unless they have changed it recently, it Floods ( same old story -- {sigh} ) THANK YOU Diggers57 for the list of contact points. Since you have saved me some considerable time in doing this for me and others, I'll try to give back by posting an "alternative" Nosewheel Taxi light dll (this weekend). Something I have been meaning to do all week !! Geoff

Well, after about half a day "Shockwave tweaking", I decided to first revert to flying this beauty for a while.

My aircraft.cfg file (post hotfix 3) only has the light.0 and light.1 (cockpit lights) entries. Where did you get the lines for the other lights from? Also, which shockwave light entry did you make in the panel.cfg -- the normal one (gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light), or the one for when the stock lights go out when the gear is raised (gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light)? Good question. Had to think about it myself actually. I got it "one piece at a time", to quote good old Johnny Cash here. I can't exactly reproduce my sources, to be honest. I know I still had some shockwave 3D files tucked away on my rig and found some on the shockwave forum. I added what looked good to me to my [LIGHTS] part of the aircraft.cfg. After that the fiddling around with the specific 737-800 WL lines (13 to 17) took so much time, that I forgot about the pmdg-lines (0 to 12) and just left them where they were. You know how the way that goes: you search the net, search old storage media, and so on. Before you know it you have a lot of material and don't even know anymore where you found it. All of you who ever wrote a thesis, know exactly what I mean. :) I haven't even tried running it without the pmdg-specific lines. I just added them, kinda forgot them and the result looks good.Maybe they're not even all needed. I don't know. Haven't tried myself yet. And oh, I didn't change anything in the Panel config. greets,JanEHGG

Very nice Jan! btw. you only need this entries in the light section: [LIGHTS]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=recognition, 8=wing, 9=logo, 10=cabinlight.0 = 4, 47.000, 0.0, 5.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.1 = 4, 45.000, 0.0, 4.500, fx_PMDG_NGX_vclightlight.2 = 5, 4.50, -8.24, 0.32, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave lightlight.3 = 5, 4.50, 8.16, 0.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave lightlight.4 = 6, 42.60, 0.00, -5.45, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_small.FX // Shockwave lightlight.5 = 5, 5.70, 3.65, -3.80, fx_shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave lightlight.6 = 5, 5.70, -3.65, -3.80, fx_shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

I just have found out that you have to live with a small limitation. You lose the separation of the landing lights because all shockwave landing lights are connected to fixed landing light switch. Probably we find an solution for that for example different number for the retractable landing lights!?
