One of my first flights, using the Carenado C152. Looks pretty much like FSX - and flies much the same..

Hi Al. I'm sure you have mentioned it, but how did you install REX to work with P3D?

You fire up the REX installer, and point it to the P3D folder instead of the FSX one (the browse window on the left of the REX interface) when going through the initial set up where it makes you do all the config and back up stuff. After that you simply install REX in the normal way as though you were installing it into FSX. Ensure you tick the box that has the REX weather engine fire up automatically when you start up 'FSX'. If you do that, the REX weather engine kicks into action when you click on the P3D icon to fire up P3D, and you will automatically get real world weather in P3D. Al

If the only thing you want is real world weather in P3D, you can manually run the REX weather engine. No need to configure anything, it will connect with P3D and load current weather, same way it does with FSX. ASE also works like a charm! :)

OK, this one is over the 200K limit, but just to show what P3D can look like"out of the box", with the PNW demo scenery... not bad!
