It is possible to assign a key to the VS / IAS speed dial using FSX own control settings, go to the Button/Keys tab and filter to Autopilot in the "event category" drop down menu. If I remember this right, it's the Autopilot pitch ref (down) and Autopilot pitch ref (up) you need to assign keys to. I had this working using a joystick switch on my yoke.

Man I love searching the forums! Thanks so much...Even with TrackIR....looking down there to constantly adjust when approaching the RIIVR2 into KLAX in "not so nice weather" is a little tough, and monitoring all other systems is next to impossible. I got tired of using the popup 2d and shrinking it down to small during my flight...thanks!
