Negative radio altimeter after SP1

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.Does anyone have experienced this, or knows how to solve it? After SP1, when on ground, my RADIO altimeter shows -4. As I understand it, it should read 0, never a negative number.Any thoughts?Regards,Armando Arjona R.

As I understand it, this is a valid reading. The RA is calibrated to show precisely 0 on touchdown in the flare attitude. Once the nose comes down the reading is -4.

This is normal... and very realistic. The above comment is correct. 747-400's have a negative RA value annunciated when on the ground aswell.Ashley Frew.
