New Zealand from Orbx

Recommended Posts

I noticed earlier there was someone asking for information about the latest Orbx scenery of New Zealand south island. Unfortunately, for some reason, I have been unable to find the original post, so I thought I'd post a link to a video just recently made by a guy over on the Orbx forum. If anyone has not invested in Orbx scenery then do yourself a favour and become a convert! This latest offering is IMO one of their finest, simply awesome. Enjoy...

This video is incredible. Does anybody know what airport is at 4:45? I would love to fly there.

Thank you very much for the quick response. I went on a ferry ride in a raging gale there once upon a time, it should be fun to revisit.

There is PNG Bush scenery package (not ORBX) which is geographically nearby, Pacific Island Sim I think. I have it, Papua New Guina it's cool.

Actually PNG is about as far away from New Zealand as Hawaii is from California, but yeah I guess we're all in the same Ocean :-)BTW, the Orbx South-Island scenery is very well done. Be sure to check out the VLC scenery too which covers North AND South Island of New Zealandsee: http://www.vectorlandclass.co.nz/

Thought I would mention for anyone flying over Papua New Guinea:Pavol Barabáš documentary DVD 'Pururambo' DVD on Netflix 'watch instantly' .He treks to hidden tribes unaware that other peoples live in New Guinea, let alone in the world. Barabas was the first white man they have ever seen. It is sort of weird flying over this scenery knowing the primative cultures below, even in our day...Barabáš also filmed (low budget) his unassisted 5 man expedition in the '90s Russia to Canada over the North Pole (pulling their sleds themselves instead of using dogs). "Arctic Extreme" (also Netflix). Probably worth a look for some arctic exploration and Northern bush fans!
