Does anyone know another platform, where I can get the original file, which Steve :-( uploaded once?

Thank you.

Hi,

For people which have fsx crash during navigation in the options, the best way to solve it is to delete the uiAutomationCore and keep a backup of this file. A DLL is a kind of shared librabry used on windows OS.

When a software need this kind of lib, it is looking for this file in the software root directory and after in the windows shared-dll directory. So if you keep the back up, later you'll can put it manually in the folder of some software (like rex-ready which is needing the uiAutomationCore.dll) to make it running. Finally, here is a tutorial to remove the uiAutomationCore.dll:

HERE IS THE FIX: You may have to take ownership of the files if windows stops you from deleting the file.

Open CMD prompt and right click to run as administrator and then type in exactly as below substituting

your windows login username where it says username:

Open CMD PROMPT with Admin Right (click rigt "open as admin").

In the following cmd, replace YOURNAME by the "name" of you computer/session.

------------------------- BGN CMD --------------------------

takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll

cacls C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll /G YOURNAME:F

takeown /f C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll

cacls C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll /G YOURNAME:F

------------------------- END CMD --------------------------

Now you can just navigate to your syswow64 and system32 folders in windows explorer

and after backing up the UIautomationcore.dll files just delete them from your computer.

(Remember to delete the Uiatomationcore.dll file in ure FSX folder also if you installed it as

the fix in other posts.)

Hope that can help you.
