HiI'm not sure but I assume the standard version of let's say Airbus Vol. 1 includes the A319, A320 and A321. The deluxe version includes also the A318 and Airbus Corporate Jets. Evolution is something like an upgrade that adds some more features such as a weather radar, HUD and improved systems.

Evo is - at the time being - the best Airbus package there is. It's not without flaws, and certainly not up to PMDG standards, but they are nice to fly and easy on framerates.

Yeah it's not perfect but actually you can't find out what is bad, just not perfect enough. Anyway you will enjoy it if not asking for PMDG standards.

How about the availability of liveries for the wilco airbus evolution vol 1 & 2? Can someone point me to the official livery website?

Not many liveries are available, but merge is a way. You can merge A320 series with PA's, A330/340 with Thomas Ruth's.http://www.wilcopub....ol-1-vol-2.html

there's plenty of freeware liveries available here in the AVSIM library. as well as directly from Wilco.Liveries from the prior versions work on the Evo, and it doesn't matter whether the livery is listed as FS9 or FSX.

May I ask another question? In what aspects can't this addon be compared to PMDG standards exactly?

Though I don't have the Evo, I've read about it. Judging from your nick, you may be able to read this review.

Answers:  (1) In that PMDG has never developed -nor attempted- any Airbus.   (2) In that if PMDG ever develops an Airbus it will significantly be of better quality, assuming they maintain the same level of quality they have done with every of their current a/c.

Thanks for your help, I thought of buying Evolution, but now I must admit that there are plenty of aspects that make this addon to something that isn't really fun to use...

At least from current Airbus addons for FSX Wilco Airbus Evolution series are by far best.
