I don't know if I should be posting this here but I have FSX Standard with Acceleration installed. I went to the FSDeveloper page to install but when I open my folder called "SDK" it takes forever to open and when the bar on the top (I use Windows 7) is done, it doesn't open. Help?

If you do not have the Deluxe Version and the SDKs that are in those disks, even with Acceleration, then you're out of luck, AFAIK. There was "suppose" to be a process, mentioned by a former member of ACES that would allow for the files on the Acceleration disk to install. No one figured that out, last I ever saw. You can check at FS Developer, as there is a separate sub-forum for SDK installation.

Hi, I do have exactly same problem. On FS Developer forum I found some articles where is said that I can install SDK only wiht standart FSX and Acceleration pack. I followed their instruction but installation was interupted due missing FSX Deluxe edition dvd. And there is no way how to register to their site to get any answer.

A former member of the ACES group from Microsoft had posted that he "thought" installation could be done using just the FSXA disk and FSX Standard. So it was written into the Wiki. It's been documented since that it does not work. I don't know how else to write it other than, if you do not have FSX Deluxe and install the RTM version of the SDK then you are out of luck.Unless someone found some magical method and forgot to tell the rest of the development world?
