B747-400X Load Manager not connected

The Load Manager for 747-400X under FSX and Win7-64 sometimes shows FSX Status as 'NOT Connected'.I have tried to share all folders that I think may store the load data, but still suspect that I haven't shared the right folder. Can someone tell me where the load data is stored by the Load Manager, whether my problem can only be re folder sharing, or what else I should check. Many thanks.

Richard,"NOT CONNECTED" is normal. It just means that FSX is not started. If you open the load manager while you are in FSX there will be an option to send the information to FSX and "NOT CONNECTED" will disappear. The load manager, I think, saves the information to the aircraft.cfg file.

Hi Kenny,Thanks for your prompt reply. The aircraft.cfg in SimObjectsAirplanes certainly is modified at the time that I save the load data in the Load Manager. However, I can find no fuel loaded or px loads in that file.I have rechecked that all the folders in the path to Airplanes are shared by Everyone, so I am still unable to load the aircraft - I still get the 'NOT Connected' message in red at the lower-left of the Load Manager window.

Definitely, the PMDG manual states that pressing "Save" in the Load Manager will update the aircraft.config file with the load selected. As far as I can see, the changes are reflected in the [WEIGHT AND BALANCE] section, under Moments of Inertia.Just to be clear, because my mind sees ambiguity in even the simplest of statements, are you saying that, even with FSX running, the PMDG Load Manager still says "not connected"?

Dugald,Many thanks for your thoughts. This morning, I started Load Manager both before and after starting FSX, and in both cases received the '747-400 Loaded' notification in Load Manager. So the only conclusion that I can come to is that the cold restart of the PC this morning has enabled the sharing to occur. But I am not at all convinced that this is a logical explanation of the symptom.Still, on with my flight KJFK-EGLL.Cheers, Richard
