Never heard of the term trailer making it look better than it is? I mean, that is the purpose of the trailer or an ad. But still, when you get in the aircraft, you have sounds, you have flying... but you don't have fast-paced-video at your hands, great effects and all that. This doesn't mean at all that the product is bad. Au contraire, looks like an awesome aircraft.

There was an earlier Iris version of this aircraft which was made for FS9 and is now available as freeware. What you see in the video is their latest product which is FSX only. The video and aircraft look very nice indeed. I already have the Mil Viz F-15E which is an awesome product with a lot going on under the bonnet. I'd really like to buy the Iris version as well but I won't be buying anything from them until they fix the Spartan which was released last year. If Iris fixed the Spartan's flight/engine model I'd buy the F-15E in a hearbeat...
I must have missed something. The Iris site indicates that this is an FS9 aircraft. No?????

EngineRoom,Thanks very much. Is there a link on their site for the FSX version of the aircraft. I didn't see any link nor is it listed under their payware links.FrankDisregard. I found the aircraft (FSX) on the SimMarket site. Thanks again.fbSometimes you have to "check it twice." There is a product listing on the SimMarket site for this aircraft. Wait until you see the price - $58 USD. I don't have this aircraft and perhaps someone who does can address this, but that price seems VERY high. In the description on the SimMarket site there is little mention of the cockpit. It seems to me that for that price there had better be a whole lot of cockpit switches and animation. That's just me.fb

Lol, I agree. I feel the same way when I watch one of Ed Cox's videos then do the same flight afterwards. Sometimes the videos and/or screen shots are more appealing than the actual experience.
Wow, really really great work and editing! The problem is, when you get the aircraft, you get all disappointed for not having such experience!

It depends what country (i.e. what local sales tax) you are buying from.I'm in the UK, and if I buy the Iris Mud Hen from Simmarket (German store) I will pay £36.50. If I buy from Flight Sim Store (Australian store) I only pay £30.01.
$ 58 USD?...damn that means that Simmarket is ripping people off, for as i know its available at Flightsim shop for $46.99 USD...

I have this IRIS aircraft and, IMO it it absolutely OUTSTANDING! The only thing that betters it, is the their support. I recently had a really bad time with just about everything in my life, including having my brand new FSX PC stolen. That meant losing various backups and a shed load of FSX stuff. IRIS came storming in on their white charger and got me back up and running with their stuff, faster than greased lightning. I was mega grateful and mega impressed!
