I'm very sorry to hear that you are having troubles - here's some explanations to your queries and some possible solutions.
Everyone will get this error from time to time - it's because the file that SHOULD be there was lost when AVSIM was hacked a few years back. It shouldn't be shown in the library after running a search but often occurs when following a link from an off-site forum, especially when the post is dated.
- file is not available anymore
I'm not quite sure why Mozilla would have a problem with our server - it works fine for many people, but we at the Library like to recommend Chrome as it's the least buggiest of the better browsers. I love Chrome!
- cannot download file with mozilla but with internet explorer
You'll have to check over your antivirus protection software (or any other program of that kind) to make sure it's not blocking our FTP. If there is a page for exceptions or allowed web pages then be sure to add "library.avsim.net" to it.I hope this helps you out a little! If you have any more problems then do remember that you can always contact the Library team at firstname.lastname@example.org

I haven't heard of this problem for probably a couple years. If I remember correctly it has something to do with a Passive FTP option in Internet Explorer that needs to be checked under advanced options. I don't use IE so I can't be more specific, sorry!

Well I had this problem quite often already (speaking of the 3rd problem at the moment) and i never use IE. Just when i know that a page is maybe not running in mozilla (like our airline intranet only works with IE due to some activex component), i use an alternative browser. I was thinking about switching to Opera because I only heard good stuff about it but lets see.I tried it on different computers and with or without firewall but that didnt change anything. Next time, I will contact you guys via email and maybe one of you wants to jump on my computer with teamviewer to investigate this problem. Thanks for the answer !
