Engine start sound

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if the missing starter sounds on the right engine was normal.. when I engage the starter I dont get any noise until I add fuel and the prop RPM rises.

I have the same problem here. Sound only comes on after fuel injection. Also, after starting engine 2 even though i switch on the generator 2, no charge appears on the gauge but after starting no 1 then both generator show charge and last bug found (i guess) EHSI shows nothing when on map mode. Thanks and regards.

Same here, and like Lmaire, I also don't see the right generator providing any power until the left engine is running and its generator is on. You should see the BATTERY CHARGE annunciator come on for a few seconds after bringing the right generator online.

I've submitted this issue to Carenado and they affirmed that they are aware of it... not only is it the starter, but it is also the turbine sound itself missing from the #2 engine, the sound of the prop is all that is there.

Hey everybody, I fixed that sound problem:

1.) make a copy of the sound.cfg file !!!

2.) look for positions [COMBUST1.9] and [PROP1.0]

3.) now put these red lines in between of these two, overwriting the existing positions ... (these lines are missing in my opinion) ... should look somewhat like this

[COMBUST1.9]

etc............

Hope that helps and do backups!!

Excellent work Andy, does this also include the turbine whine that is not present on the #2 engine?

The whine I didn´t realise it was missing, it is just a workarround to get the starting sequence with starting nr. 2 first! :Hypnotized:

Maybe someone can confirm this fix and the whine-sound?!?

I bought the TSS kingAir sound pack a long time ago and I like it way better just a thought

The TSS King Air sound pack does not have any Beta range sounds at all. The Carenado C90B sound pack does, but only when the power levers are in the reverse range, which is not correct.
