Steam Sale: Flight 40% off

Recommended Posts

For those who have been holding off, now is a good time to jump in. Personally, I was hoping for a new Hawaii+Alaska bundle, but I guess it's too soon for that.

SUMMER SALE! Offer ends July 23rd

* The Steam Sale experts will tell you to wait until that last day to buy, just in case the game is featured as a one day only Daily Deal during the sale (which could be up to 50-75% off).

For $4 I might just pick up another warbird. I don't spend too much time with the P51 (I got it free from the beta), but it can be fun every once in a while. And it's nice to be able to shoot up past 20k ft. without spending 2 hours getting there.

Anyone have suggestions? How do they compare to the P51? I'm thinking the F4U seems the most dissimilar. On the other hand I've heard that the Zero is smaller and more maneuverable, that could be interesting.

This may actually get me to buy the Corsair. I want it for a movie I feel a burning need to make, but held off because even $7 is too much money for something with no cockpit.

$4? Maybe.

I'll have to think about it.

The Zero is very nimble, but not as fast as the F4U or the P-51. The P-40 will fly like a slow P-51. If you like doing the gold rush missions, Zero is your best bet. If you like going ballz out fast, the F4U. Artistically, I think the F4U looks the best and is the most accurate of them all.

P.S. I only own the P-51, so im just relating things I heard.

And let's not forget Lunar Flight which I've been waiting for. Just $4.99!

And, so long as I'm talking about flying spacecraft, you can also check out the free open source Orbiter Space Flight Simulator. You can also download it from here: http://www.orbithangar.com/orbiter.php

It's pretty basic right out of the box (so to speak), so don't forget to add things like sound in the form of mods from places like:

Ah yes, good find. I've been eyeing that one too.

I honestly don't know if I have enough room on my Steam drive to fit everything that's on sale. I may have to move my Steam games folder to another drive.

Looks like I'll be buying a LEM after all... It was hard to restrain myself at $9.99, but this is just too much!

I'm right there with you.

But, where do we go to ask the real pilots about the right way to fly it? How do we set the mixture on the LEM?

Hmm. I'm not far from where Jim Lovell has his restaurant...

Edit: The mixture I'm referring to is, of course, is N2O4 / Aerozine 50.

I'm having trouble finding my code.

Where would that be?
