Green Square in upper left?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Not used FSX for a long time, but a demo flight in a Bonanza last friday in Cheshire has encouraged me to get in to it again.

Just cleaned up my HDD, defrag etc and loaded Active Sky X, SHADE and FSX, just like i used to.

No noticeable performance issues but there is a green square about 15mm x 15mm in the upper left of the screen.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

I think this is related to the SLI indicator.

To get rid of it

- Go into the Nvidia Control Panel on your PC (usually in Control Panel itself)

- Click on Set SLI and PhysX Configuration under 3D settings

- You will now have a new Menu option for 3D Settings. Just uncheck the "Show SLI Visual Indicator icon"

- Voila!

Glad you got it sorted, Adam.

Cheers!

I have the same issue but it's only 1 pixel. I can resize it too...?

Not sure that this is the same issue.

However if you run the PMDG NGX,you will have a liittle white box in the upper left of your screen which is normal.

This little square will also show up on screen if you have FSAA turned on and have Nividia Inspector set to show the FSAA indicator.

And maybe there is a window in the panel.cfg that is not set up correctly. Try shift+1 to shift+9 and if it's gone, you must modify the panel.cfg.

That should read 'FXAA', I think.
