PFD "Flight level" indicator problem, bug?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

My PFD displays the altitudes incorrectly. The pink value should be 10.000 , not 100 obviously.

This is my problem. I hope someone knows what this is?

I have reinstalled it. Even deleted al PMDG-products. Still this **** is happening.

I have a boxed version which is the latest, 2.1.040 or something.

Please, I appreciate any help on this matter.

Based on the extreme pitch angles and low speed, it seems like it's user error. Based on the lack of details, I have to go on the pictures, and the pictures show very poor operation of the plane. Where did you set 10,000? The MCP? The FMC?

Try setting your Windows display DPI/settings to 100% (default, no zoom). Also, you should usually not have to raise the nose past 20 degrees pitch, as such would be quite uncomfortable in the cabin. If you want a better view of the instruments, you can click the yoke to lower it (it will still move, though).

Yes, I know, I just pressed Y and then Q to increase the altitude to show my problem. Do not have the time to fly so I just jumped to make a screen. I go for the DPI settings then.

Quite strange though.

Just to clarify - DPI or Dots Per Inch Settings ....

For Win 7 users .....

Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalisation>Display

Select ....

Smaller - 100% (default)

Then...

Go this link...

http://www.sevenforu...ngs-change.html

This will show you how to check ( or even change?) the DPI (Dots per Inch) size settings to allow text and other items, such as icons, fonts, and windows, to display larger or smaller in Windows 7...your looking to have 96 DPI to make things like PMDG PFD/ND/EICAS Displays view correctly (under normal circumstances).
