Can Opus fix this?

Recommended Posts

Really annoying, ugly ban layers of clouds or fog in FSX.

If I buy Opus, will this be fixed? See 3 pics.

I wouldnt be surprised if they took the rest of the day off to tell yo the truth. They deserve it.

Now about your question..I too hate the effect you describe above, now please do not buy this based off my memory, but I have not noticed it I dont think since using OPUS. Im pretty sure about that.

Someone else hopefully will chime in

cheers

Also, don't worry about having to click a million buttons, or having a million options to set up your weather.

I am pretty much an idiot when it came to REX, as I had to read the manual a million times and read hundreds of posts about how to set this or that up to get this or that.

Here is OPUS in a nutshell...simple, like me...lol

1. Install

2. Click enable weather injection, or real world weather

3. If you want, enable TrackIR

4. Start FSX, User defined weather.

5. Fly

Ok found I have Opus weather themes still left over from the demo. I thought OPUS did fix my OP issue but found out not totally.

I would appreciate some comments from the OPUS developers in this thread, if they have the time.

See 3 pics.

All great leaving fog/cloud filled mountains.

Theres something in the manual about this. If i remember correctly.

In FSX main Texture folder

1. rename: cirrus_overcast03 into cirrus_overcast03_foggy

2. rename: cirrus_overcast03_Opus_1024 into cirrus_overcast03

That should do it.

We did make some changes on a recent beta 2.29.2 to avoid FSX vis banding issues, assuming this is the problem, have you tried the latest beta?

Regards

Cheryl
