Have any of you tried this? (SweetFX)

Recommended Posts

You'll have to turn the enhancements you want on. This injector does not come "ready to play," and I highly suggest starting with settings a few members or myself has posted in this thread. I believe my settings are on page 7 in this thread. You will need to work with the "settings" text file.

Tried turning on bloom an other settings. No changes. :( FXAA tool is also not working. Are there some changes I need to do with nvidia inspector?

Just started using it this weekend and I'm finally happy to say that my constant CTD's with ENB are finally over. Thank you OP for bringing this up and everyone else who share settings etc.

No problems here.

Make sure AA is not enabled in FSX,and in Nvidia inspector set FXAA usage to disallowed.

Take a look at this as it may also help:

Hope this helps.

THANK YOU. FXAA disallowed seem to do the trick, I was scratching my head for hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't work! Time to try it out!

Can I have SweetFX always On by default when I launch FSX, without using/binding any key?

Thanks,

Dirk.

Hi Dirk,

It is on by default. There's no options in the settings.txt to have it any other way (if I remember correctly). I can't check at this time.

Zach, pls tell me you are sure about it, that is it is on by default. Because soon as I hit Scroll Lock I noticed the picture turned a little tiny more washed out and yellowish, just so little, that I thought I could notice it only in comparison by hitting the scroll lock key. I was sure Scroll Lock switched the effect On and I did not like it. Turns out, if you are right, the effect switched off when I hit Scroll Lock?

Thanks,

Dirk.

Zach is correct!

Thanks, Dimitri, it's a keeper then. It sure makes textures look sharper and the sky/clouds nicer. No FPS, CTD hits whatsoever.

Dirk.

Now, all of my key strokes are very busy, what if I assign "0"-s to key_toggle, key_screenshot and key_reload in injector.ini?

Thanks,

Dirk.

No problem Dirk!

washed out and yellowish

Play with the settings untill you get the desired effect.

You might want to change some of the Sepia parameters,or turn that effect off,if the "yellow casting" is not to your liking.

Regards.

Try to only enable HDR and set the values to 1.50 and 0.85.

This is what I ended up with and I'm very happy with the effect.
