FS2004 Glacier Bay scenery Question

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,i was reading the description for the Glacier Bay Alaska scenery an wondered what exactly does this mean. (Inland water bodies can be made to "freeze over" via an on/off switch)

Now im pretty sure it means you can get the water to freeze over but how?

When they refer to on/off switch what are they referring to

Is it a key on the keyboard?

Does the water actually turn into ice?

Also if you'd like to comment on this package please do so

Is it worth the download?

Does it effect performance?

What are your thoughts?

Yes it is certainly worth it!

Glacier Bay comes with comprehensive instructions - the included .pdf will answer all your questions.

The scenery comes with its own configuration panel from where you can set a number of options - one of them is to set the Lakes and Rivers to frozen in the covered area.

Turned on, it changes / replaces the water textures in the area covered to appear to be snow / ice rather than water and since it is then no longer classified as water it makes those surfaces landable. I change mine back and forth accordingly with the seasons.
