No flaps sound at all

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I'd like to know if this is a problem, or you really cannot hear any flaps sound in this aircraft? Is it a known issue? I've bought the plane at simmarket.

Thanks

try pressing Q twice on your keyboard to reset the sound defaults.

Didn't help :( I have the sound file (flaps.wav) and it works out of FSX fine, checked the sound cfg file, and all 3 volumes for flaps is set to 30000, which is different to all other sound settings.

here is the other sound section of my sound cfg:

The flaps sound works, but you'll only hear it if the engine is off ... which ant ideal when approaching for a landing lol.

I look forward to hearing from the real world 208 fliers if the flaps are more audible.

Oh, just remembered I'm using an add-on sound set, not the default.

Thanks, can you hear them with the add-on sound set? If yes would you be so kind to link it?

I have been flying in real C182 - rather similar plane. And guess what - there is no flap sound audible in the cockpit, even at idle power

Can't really compare a 208 with a 182 as they are very different aircraft! As far as I remember, you can hear the flap motors running in 152s and 172s.

Can you hear it in the default 208? And where have all the real 208 pilots gone?
