VEAO 3rd Party turn to register company

We are pleased to announce the formation of VEAO Simulations Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company registration number 08478742.

The formation of the company allows us to market and sell our products and consultancy services.

With the advent of selling DCS:Hawk and other products we felt it prudent to set up the new company.

VEAO Ltd was set up as a not-for-profit company for a multitude of services in the past and the company has been dissolved (closed).

We are currently transfering all contracts and NDA's over to the new company.

We have also attained www.veaosimulations.co.uk which will provide the backbone for all of our products; including the e-commerce shop, licencing, Mantis bug reporting, testers support, to name but a few services.

We will be updating the web site shortly to give a more interactive experience with our products and I will announce when this is ready.

This moves us to the next step of being able to sell the products to you and another milestone in our development plan.

Again, thank you for your continued support.

Chris.

That is very interesting.... VEAO explain more info for "your tanker" project

The tanker that we talked about for the Typhoon will be a fully flyable aircraft with multiple positions to allow someone to fly it while another is operating as the boom operator. As for the AI for it we will endeavor to have it working the same as the tankers that are in there now but that will take some work. This is in the long term plans either way.

VEAO require personal to future projects.

Dear DCS Community,
With upcoming modules for DCS consumer products and military contracts we are in need to fill positions for certain projects.

Preference would be for candidates to have a working knowledge of DCS integration at a developer level but it is not necessary as guides and tutorials will be given by existing development team members.
Knowledge in the given position is a must and proof of concept work may be required if proof of past work cannot be given.

All works carried out are under full contract terms and conditions with agreed invoicing and payment terms between VEAO and the individual / company.
Full terms will be discussed during the interview process.

Certain military contracts will require security clearance and checks will be carried out so applicants must take this into consideration and again this will be discussed during the interview process.

A signed Non-Disclosure-Agreement will be required prior to stage 2 interviews.

There will be a 3 stage interview.
Stage 1 - Initial discussion with candidate regarding their current/past/future works and general VEAO development process.
Stage 2 - With NDA signed; discussion on VEAO current and future projects, development process structure and detailed examples of past/current works by the candidate demonstrated.
Stage 3 - In-depth interview by existing development team members. Proof of concept projects may be required.

Candidates going forward past stage 3 will be given a template full contract to review prior to signing.

All works will be sub-contracted to contractual milestones and we are not currently taking full time positions as employees within the company.

VEAO Simulations Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.

All applications must be emailed to recruitment@veaosimulations.co.uk
A CV / Resume is required detailing past and current works related to the position applying for.
Any applications received without a CV / Resume will not be considered.

VEAO Warbirds Collection Brochute

As with the Hawk brochure for Legends this weekend, here is the Warbirds Collection one.

Please note, aircraft you see on the brochure are still very much WIP and obviously we will update the brochure to reflect the four aircraft mentioned when we have them in-sim.

This brochure is specifically for Legends and not the final one.

Thanks,
Chris.

Update July VEAO, waiting to the Bae license.

Hawk update July 2014

So, this weekend we're splitting the Hawk into two, not literally of course lol

There will be the base Hawk in DCS World which the AI will use and you can see flying around negating the need for a multiplayer patch which we put out before.
Then there will be the "paid" section which is essentially the activation part as our copy protection system will allow you to sit in the cockpit but not fly the aircraft unless you have a valid activation code.
Both of these sections will then be uploaded into The ED testers version for them to test and report any bugs. Luckily most of the ED testers we have assigned are already on our test team so not much should be found.

You will then see the Hawk appear in DCS World at some point in the future.
We can't confirm which version yet but as soon as we know I'll let you know.
I'm not sure if we'll make the Sabre update version but will try our best.

The website and store are being worked on also right now by a very talented web designer in the US who is a good friend of one of our developers.
The Hawk product pages are being built and we'll get our testing team to try it out prior to going live.
This will be a seamless payment experience if bought through our site.
We will then pass that product info in a format to ED for their web site and pass over thousands of activation codes for their star force database which allows you to buy from their store (still using our protection system).

Then it's the Steam pages, I'm putting together the info needed for those and again producing activation codes for that database.

So, when we said soon, we meant soon

Legal stuff is very nearly there and will tie in with release.

Very exciting times for DCS in the next few months for sure!!

Cheers,
Chris.

Otherwise, it's a load of money, time and effort potentially down the drain. Not to mention the damage it would do your rep if it had to be abandoned.

I'm assuming the same would apply to the Typhoon, as well.

Hopefully you can wrap them both up in one swoop (along with any future projects... ahem!)

Most aircraft have to be developed to demonstrate to manufacturers what you're doing
It's a very convoluted process I won't go into here.
We've been in discussions with BAE for over 2 years now as it's not just the Hawk we need a licence for from BAE. Also they're not set up for this kind of thing as it's not been done to this level before.

Don't forget we're doing military as well as consumer products

Cheers,
C

Hey Guys,
We thought it would be good for you to know our development roadmap.

DISCLAIMER:
The list is not final and will be changed at any time depending on contracts, agreements, discussions, etc. but this is our current roadmap.
The dates shown are indicative and not final!!

As Wags says, everything is subject to change...

For the packs, we will be doing certain discounts for number of aircraft bought, etc. and this is still being discussed and details will be revealed closer to sale time.

We are currently having discussions with aircraft manufacturers, owners of aircraft and collectors so some things may be included in packs and collections may not yet be shown on here but I'll update the list as and when we have agreements.

We will keep this list as up to date as possible as things develop and contracts are agreed.

We have multiple teams working on different projects, so the old "finish one before you start another" is not relevant. We will not overstretch the teams or the business!!

The * next to the aircraft indicates that we are in contract with ED for those.

We hope you like the selection of aircraft and maps and look forward to a great future in DCS with you!!

Cheers,
Chris.

VEAO tell over the colaboration with "CAS" (see the follow quote), can be get possibilities of VEAO can make a Tornado module by CAS advisor.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2159851&postcount=203
just spent the day with Tom, Mike and Gareth from Close Air Solutions and Tom happens to be an ex front line Tornado pilot who has agreed to help us develop the Tornado.
Having front line pilot experience is something that no manual can guide you when developing an aircraft and we're extremely pleased Tom has offered to help out.

Thought you guys would like that
Chris

Gooooood Saturday morning Hawk fans....

Well it's been a productive week here at VEAO.
With help from the ED testers and our own testers we found a couple of small bugs which have been and are being fixed ready for beta release.

The screenshots and videos are being produced ready for the store and steam pages (yes you guessed correctly) and will be going up soon to check all is working OK and the licence activation code issuing system ties in with both of those.

I'll also be posting the videos and screenies up in our eye candy section and of course on our Facebook page so make sure you like our FB page to get the updates.

So, the big question...WHEN can I fly this darn plane????

Guess what the answer is....SOON....hahaha

Let me just say you better bring your credit card with you at the Duxford air show on the 13th and 14th September because after flying the Hawk there, you're going to want to buy it straight away, if you haven't bought it already by then!!

I had a very interested day with Close Air Solutions on Wednesday this week and many thanks to Mike and Gareth for their hospitality and showing me how pilots and FAC/JTAC ground personnel do things in the real world, a very informative day.
Look for a post from Mike or Gareth in our forum section soon with exciting things to come.

Go check out their website, videos and e-learning tools.
http://www.closeairsolutions.com/

Also Mike is an ex Hawk pilot and WI so having him fly the Hawk in DCS was an honour to see and we'll certainly be taking his comments on board during development of our custom weapon models during beta.

Right, I better stop typing and crack on with this release promo video.....

Enjoy your Saturday guys,
Chris.

VEAO confirm develop of DCS: Vampire and DCS: Meteor Classic Jets Collection to 2015

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130652
VEAO Simulations Ltd, London, England. 19 September 2014

VEAO Simulations Ltd are excited to announce that we are in contract to produce two British iconic jet aircraft for DCS; the Dehavilland Vampire and the Gloster Meteor within our Classic Jets Collection.

Vampire
The Dehavilland Vampire is a classic British jet which actually made its first flight in 1943, The variant we will be focusing on initially is the Fb5, a single seat fighter bomber which served with the RAF and a variety of other countries. Capable of carrying a variety of bombs or rockets or being equipped with fuel tanks for extra range, this twin boom fighter was utilised in the Royal Air Force for over a decade in a variety of roles including being the first jet powered aircraft to complete a carrier landing!

The Vampire saw combat in Malaya with the RAF as well as many smaller conflicts around the world with other air forces.

With a range of over 1200 miles the Vampire was a versatile and capable aircraft and we look forward to being able to present her to you in 2015!

Meteor
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter. Taking its first flight in 1943 the Meteor saw combat in World War 2 firstly with 616 Squadron. With nearly 4000 produced the affectionately nicknamed "Meatbox" due to its interesting aerodynamic behaviour was a favourite amongst fighter pilots for years.
Commonly mistaken for an Me262 in flight, the Meteor claimed over 40 confirmed kills during the war so can you survive the gauntlet of being the first to engage the enemy successfully in combat?

We will be focussing on the F3 Variant of the Meteor, armed with 4 x 20mm cannons and a variety of bombs and rockets the Meteor is capable of completing a variety of missions.

Give yourself the chance to fly the first operational Allied Jet aircraft. We look forward to bringing the Gloster Meteor to DCS in 2015!

Development Team
The Vampire and Meteor will both be fully interactive Advanced Systems Modelled (ASM) cockpits and External Flight Models (EFM) to Professional level.

New forums will be opened up shortly so keep an eye out for the first iterations of eye candy.

We also have a new team set up to deliver these iconic aircraft and future aircraft in the collection, so as not to impede work on existing and other future projects.

Chris, Pete and the Classic Jets Collection Team.
