Giving a shout out to the new Cliffs of Dover

The damage modelling is also superb. Nothing like successfully making it back to base with flight surfaces missing and holes in your wing:)

Haven't played it in a while actually but if memory serves you'll needo to take time to hone your skills as most people on the ATAG server are pretty good pilots.

No it is a community patch and you'll need to download it and follow the instructions from the link I put above.

There's a new patch inbound though which will add some gorgeous effects. I mean for flip's sake, will you look at this work of art?!

I am impressed! Will have to unclutter my HD and will have a go at it. Like others I was dishertened ny CoD's ppor performance so thanks again for this HU!

I installed last night and did not install any community patches (yet) and it ran great and looked really good too.

Looking forward to spending some more time with this.

I wanted to offer some feedback after a week of play and maybe a request to fellow simmers.

Feedback:

I have tried CLOD for the last week. What a great sim!! Very realistic flight models and cockpits. The scenery looks nice and the sky and clouds are great.

The planes can be a handful to manage system but for me at least that is part of the appeal.

I have tried multi player with some mixed feelings. I have not spent much time in Multi player yet so my experiences are limited.

There is allot of potential but not so into the way I have seen some people play it.

If I fly it it is because I want an historical feeling not a Battlefield 4 feeling. The time I played guys were spawning in closed to the combat area and quickly mixing it up maybe getting a kill and then getting shot down, spawning in again and rushing off to the fight again.

The trees do not have hit boxes and some pilots use that to fly in the trees and be sneaky (a BIG minus for me). Also the fights I witnessed where all at tree top level.

That is all great if that is their playing style and glad they enjoy it. But not what I was looking for.

I was able to find a nice group of guys that seem to have the same ideas as I do and look forward to flying with them soon.

My Request:

I really want 1-3 guys to wing up with. If we could spend time together flying a couple of times a week learning formation flying and practicing some BFM then join in with the squadron once a week on their missions.

With time flying with a wingman we could become a force to be reckoned with. I have a TS server so we can meet up and fly.

I would have a few request of a new wingman.

Like:

Lets have fun!!!

Non angry types - if you find yourself getting angry over things like sim flaws, calling everyone hacks, dishonest - I am not the wingman for you.

Never lash out uncontrollably. I will research your post here. I will kick you out if you act like a fool on Avsim or any other forum.

Be available - Whenever is fine but if only once a month maybe not

Speak English

Willing to get on teamspeak

We will be - Starting up at a airfield and returning for landings after action.

No experience needed

Poor people accepted -If we talk and you are "normal" but too broke to buy the sim our group will help you out

Respect others

About me: I am a steady, nice and "normal" person. I am located in Florida so keep that in mind for times. If we plan it I can fly anytime of day or night but I must know in advance. Best times for me are evenings. I fly the BF109 - but if I find a nice normal person that only wants to fly spits I could change. Bombers might be fun too.

I plan to build a place we can go to plan things out. A really nice website in the making right now.(I do this for a living) Whoever helps me get started and can be available can be one of the founders and have squadron pull (whatever that means). But we will always keep it fun - rule number 1

The website we can plan schedules, tactics, movies, forums and more.

We will represent the finest. Meaning people may hate us but only because we are good, not because we talk trash.

PM me if interested. Then we can talk on TS since I want to hear your ideas and see if we get along.

I just discovered this sim. I'm really impressed and having lots of fun. I added all of the Team Fusion mods. There is quite a learning curve, but YouTube helps, lol. There's a lot of joy in mastering these old planes and completing a mission successfully. I haven't tackled multiplayer yet.
