Fix for (shift + 1) bug in some Carenado Planes

Recommended Posts

In several of my Carenado planes, including the 337C and the Baron B58, I found that when I used the Shift+1 keys to bring up the GPS, I would get a nasty image with the lower 1/3 of the screen black. See picture below.

Thru a lot of trial and error, I found the fix. If you go into the panel.cfg file and change the last line in the [Default View] section to SIZE_Y=6143, this will fix the problem.

Happy flying!

I wonder why they chose to use the 2d Panel View for the GPS popup. Normally one would choose [Window01] for that purpose, which would make it Shift-2 instead.

[Window00], the 2d Panel View is reserved for the exclusive use of the 2d panel system.

It is a peculiarity of Carenado programming...

On several of my planes, I have changed it, since (agreeing with Bill, above) Window00 should not be used for this purpose..

I think that the OP made his own changes. The Baron defaults shift-1 to the 2D panel.  However there is no 2d panel and you get a menu.

Edit:  OOPS - I stand corrected.  I was confused.  It's f10 that brings up the menu.  Shift-1 is the GPS.
