Bojote tweaking tool offline

Recommended Posts

Exactly. I just built a new computer, installed everything from scratch for PMDG777 and bojote's tool is offline... oh well. I wonder how long it has been down for.

I have just installed a new OS and new FSX. I went to Bojote's tweaking site 2 days ago and got my tweaked fsx.cfg back instantly. The difference is totally amazing, btw.

You sure you went here ?... : http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

Yep just used it a few hours ago after returning to FSX. Works really well.

WHEW!!!!    It's apparently back up.     This post scared me - I have to know that I can always go to that website and get my FSX tweaks off properly.

Doesn't work. The main site is up, but as soon as you target your fsx.cfg and "click here to begin!"  I get

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

He emailed me and said he restarted the server as soon as he arrived home, and it's now good to go!

If you have a new config with new hardware and overclock it than this tool makes it worse than default. Why you wanna use something which implements false tweaks? It's not 2009 anymore. With all respect to the author this approach does not fit newer hardware.

Very true. It even alters the sound LOD which can bite you.

It has been down for a long time. You need to tweak an i7 3770K? Go to the Crash to Desktop forum and read some of the crashes that were caused by individuals using this tweaking tool. It might have been good for older systems a year or two ago but not for the powerful systems being built today. If you need some guidance on how to tweak your Fsx.cfg, check out the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide located under Hot Spots to the right of this forum.
