That's strange.  I have it with the latest Nvidia drivers for my GTX 780.  Make sure FSX is selected as the program in the Nvidia 3d settings and/or the NI settings.  What Nvidia video card do you own?

Best regards,

Jim

My nvidia is a 480GTX... I use nvidia inspector to modify the FSX profile as usual, and force vsync. But with the last drivers doesn't work.

Best regards.

Hi gonvise;

It would help if you were to put your system hardware configuration in your profile so that it would be displayed under your Avatar pic at left... Include your monitor.

It would help, too, if you were to put the exact vsync wording from Inspector, rather than leave us to guess what "as usual" means, as Inspector has  a couple of methods of controlling vsync.

Here is what Inspector should look like.

Also we need to know how you have set your:-

UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT= ?    within the fsx.cfg [Display] section. If it is set to "0"  (unlimited), then set it to 30.

Do you have :-

DisablePreload=1   in the [Main] section of your fsx.cfg? If not - then add it.

Do you have :-

ForceFullScreenVSync=1 in the [Graphics] section of your fsx.cfg? If so - remove it.

Thanks,

pj

Hi Paul, and thanks...

Everything is as you say, except vsync not in 1/2, it is in On. And inside FSX, the frame rate limiter is set to unlimited...

Yes, I know the combination of vsync 1/2 and frame rate limiter = 30 is how the vsync works in DX10, but with the old drivers the vsync worked for me with frame rate set to unlimited... the smoothness with unlimited is awesome ;-).

ATI users Currently can enable vsync with Radeonpro and set fps limit to 30 while leaving FSX set to unlimited. I know of this smoothness for which you speak.

Hi gonvise Try limiting on 60 FPS, like your monitor. I know the problem, sometimes vsync dont work, whether dia

disablepreload=1 (this tip was from me) is enabled, on my System (Gtx 660Ti and 2500K at 5,1GHZ) it works. Many greetings from Hamburg Leonhardt
