Good evening,

I'm in the same boat. Loaded the T7 and ran FSX.

System came up with engines running.

Taxied from stand to Rwy15 at YBCS and took off.

Did a left hand circuit and landed on Rwy15.

Shutdown FSX and loaded two liveries - Emirates and Cathay Pacific in the passenger model.

When I came to load again about 4 hours later it was dark so I went about changing the time in FSX and it crashed on completing the load.

Reloaded and left the time as default and FSX loaded. Went into the menu to change the time and FSX crashed.

Reloaded and this time selected the Emirate livery. FSX crashed on loading.

Reloaded and went change to the NGX. FSX crashed on loading.

Uninstalled the T7 and reloaded FSX using the NGX. FSX loaded.

Reinstalled the T7 and reloaded FSX using the T7 default livery. FSX loaded.

Went through the changes described above once more and FSX crashed on each occasion.

Uninstalled the T7 and await comment from PMDG.

Ticket lodged as suggested. I too have not had to do this in the past as usually I wait for a few weeks before buying a new product to enable any bugs to be ironed out. On this occasion the wait got the better of me.

Uninstall the T7 and see if you can operate the NGX.

Hello,

Near same problem here, i've done a first "flight" yesterday and it crash after takeoff and since everytime i load the 777 fsx crash just after loading is complete. I can flight all other aircraft 737NGX included without any problem. I've try several Uninstal / reinstal without success.

I've submitted a ticket but no answer for the moment.

It's very frustrating...

So the crash is livery related??

What was your route and fuel load? I'll try it here.

Best regards,

Robin.

It appears the livery triggers it than a complete uninstall is required

It appears we're not alone in the error,

Many posts now!!!

I got a support ticket back stating I should re-install FSX... I dont feel thats the solution. Everything was fine prior to the 777 and especially when we're experiencing problems with liveries after instillation  and a error msg stating the 777.DLL is at fault.

Quite frustrating really

It was suggested to me that it is a SimConnect issue related to menu access (or something like that) but I questioned it further and it has been referred back for further evaluation. I will install again shortly and set my time to daylight and see what happens then. It is interesting that when I did my taxi, take off, approach and land accessing but replay options and other menus for views it worked OK.

As I said earlier, the NGX works flawlessly after the T7 is uninstalled but doesn't with it installed.

The T7 has been stored in a hangar until engineers can determine and fix the problem.

Must say I'm surprised that others have not encountered this problem but I don't accept it is my system as I said it worked flawlessly before and continues to do so without the T7.

over to you PMDG.

When you change time from one time of day to another, obviously a different texture set loads for the scenery -- this is what often causes long pauses in the Free Flight screen.  Try waiting for a bit (not hours) and then hitting the Fly Now! button.

Similarly, if you leave a high-res aircraft rotating in the Free Flight screen for a long time (or even the Ultralight, cf. manual......), you can often see it go grey/lose its textures.

I suspect this is mainly just a memory/caching/disk-thrashing issue.  Exit FSX, defrag, shut down/restart, start up, choose just ONE plane (and if you have a lot installed.... choose publisher PMDG first before choosing plane), don't change the time and then hit Fly Now! and see if there's a difference.

Also experiment even with not having the "show all liveries" ticked on, even that will save memory on startup -- you won't see the extra 777 liveries but it's another useful memory test, easier than uninstalling and reinstalling sixty times.
