Derate calculator for 777-200LR available

Recommended Posts

Not sure about how much you can derate your takeoffs? I made an excel calculator to help. With the release of PFPX I find no need to make a Dispatch sheet like the one I made for the NGX. But PFPX/TOPCAT can't do takeoff performce calculations at the moment. Until a profile for the 777 is ready, you can use this file to calculate what derate to use. Calculations are based on FCOMv1.

The file can be downloaded here:

Just found out that I detached the ambient pressure from the calculations. Its always using a setting of 1014hPa no matter what is entered. I'll upload a small fix later today. The differences are marginal. But still... We want it to be as realisticaly as possible, don't we :-)

Hi Lasse, thanks for providing this tool to help us in the interim.  I am unable to open this in my version of excel, Excel 2003.  If it's not too much trouble, is there a way you can convert it to older versions?

Lasse,

If you allow it I would create the whole thing as an EXE file in VB. Is easier to use and not everyone has EXCEL.

Thank you !

May I ask why only flap 15 ?

Flaps 5 seems to be a normal takeoff config, judging from observations in various other forums.

call me stupid, but I'm not completely sure how to use this spreadsheet. What is the end result? I had assumed it was a temp to put in the THRUST LIM page, but I appear to be wrong as that is a value to be entered. Some help for the naive please.

If you have a Google account it seems to be working fine in GoogleDocs.

Looks like it is a Go/No Go on the 3 derate choices - TO, TO1 and TO2?
