A cure for the flickering cursor in triple monitors at last

Folks,

if you have suffered like me over the years with the dreaded flickering cursor whenever you rotate views to the 'main panel' view, I thought I would let you know, I have found a straightforward way to cure it.

 

I know there are other ways, and I have spent many long hours using these other methods, adjusting panels and window sizes painstakingly from aircraft to aircraft.

Finally, after getting nowhere with the Bell 206B panel and tearing what was left of my hair out, I looked for an alternative method.

I found one that worked immediately, and should work across all aircraft with just one change to the cameras.cfg file

 

You can find this file in the User\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\your fsx folder.

 

Back it up first of course, and then edit the whole first section [CameraDefinition.001]

Simply copy the entire content from [CameraDefinition.002] and paste it in place of [CameraDefinition.001] so it now looks like:

So now [CameraDefinition.001] and [CameraDefinition.002] are both exactly identical.

 

Start fsx, and you should find you can no longer select the problem view.

 

NOTE I have only tried this with default aircraft, NOT with any addon planes, use it at your own risk.
