FSX Crashing due to Squawkbox.

Recommended Posts

OK, I've had it up to here with these issues. For some reason, it seems to want to do a debug or something. I have googled it, the threads out there are long but no resolution seen. Squawkbox appears to have no active forum anymore.. This is driving me up the wall.

If I hit ignore very fast, it doesn't disconnect. If I delay, it disconnects, and frequently will crash.

Here's the error from the event viewer. Note the faulting module..

Anyone seen this? It's persisted thorough a complete format and reinstall of everything.

Are you running FSX and Squawkbox as admin? If not you should do so.

Somebody came up with a solution? For me squawk box runs for 20 mins approximately and than it crashes, I do not even reach take-off, it's driving me crazy. Should I switch to FSinn?

Please reply, thanks

Don't start it from FSX, run it as a separate app.

Cheers!

I make simFDR, the most advanced flight data recorder for FSX, Prepar3D and X-Plane.

I would recommend you use vPilot as your vatsim client.  It is in constant development and is a lot more stable.

Sometimes i also have this problem, it happens unespectedly.

Sometimes even 2 times per flight and then maybe i make 5-6 flights without this issue.

The easy workaround is always to ignore the error and you can continue flying without problems.

Personally is not so critical for me and i can live with it, but i understand that if it happens more frequently can be annoying.
