EZDOK Help.. ROOT section in EXE.XML file not found?

Recommended Posts

I had tried installing EZDOK for P3D v2...but this may have messed up my FSX EZDOK settings.

When I start FSX, EZDOK is not running.. I checked the exe.xml and the location where its to start ezdok is right and the files are all there

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>EZdok camera addon</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\EZCA\EZCA.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

Also when I start EZdok camera addon tool and clock on Configure FSX, I get a pop up saying "The ROOT section in EXE.XML file not found. EZCA will not start automatically.

Do I have to reinstall EZDOK for fsx? and if so would it over write all my settings?

Ugh, we really need to get a proper installer for P3D. This is really holding me back. I'm willing to pay for this, whatever it takes!!!

Ugh, we really need to get a proper installer for P3D.

I have messed upmy P3Dv2 to such an extent I may have to resinstall it.

I installed and then brought over almost all the addon scneries and aircrafts and try to make them work in P3D...and I copied over all the other files like autogen directory and so on....its now a big mess. LOL :)

I am back to flying my FSX Dx10

Unless a proper alternative or ezdok p3d installer comes soon, I may seriously pass on P3D unfortunately. I am over manually configuring view position in each aircraft.cfg. Ezdok has spoiled me.

Good! Check out "XML Notepad" too, it's a nice little tool for things like this!

All the Best,

I'm getting the same error too when running EZCA config.

Now when I start P3D after loading my plane it crashes.

This is what my prepar3d.cfg file looks like. I never had p3d crash before, not sure what's going on now. This happened right after I ran the EZCA Config. I was told after adding new planes, to run that. Sigh.
