OpusFSI Release Version 5.22.5 Available

Recommended Posts

OpusFSI Beta Version 4.50.7 is now available for download on our website.

Remember when installing the OpusFSI_v450_Beta.msi file you must uninstall your current version before installing the new version (do not delete your previous \OpusFSI installation folder). After installing please check all the settings in your Configure and Weather dialogues. You can download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Improved the turbulence calculations and DHM control when the Live Weather Engine is not active. These effects are limited to lower atmospheric and 'in cloud' effects. Inversion layer effects, site specific effects, and upper atmospheric effects such as CAT (Clear Air Turbulence) cannot be determined when the LWE is inactive as all detailed OpusFSI weather map and GRIB forecast data is missing.

The OpusFSI.DLL library can now be up to 14 days out of date for the licence validation checks. The OpusPDK Oculus configuration option is automatically disabled on start up.

The Live Weather Overview/Locator map can now be used with World Weather Themes. Modified the Live Weather Overview/Locator interpretation of CBs and TCUs with respect to the 'Thunderstorms need TS Descriptor' Weather Preferences option, also adjusted the distinction between light and very light precipitation in line with the Live Weather Engine's interpolation.

The Overview/Locator Weather Station information box can now be anchored in the top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right position. The anchor position is configured in the Options dialog and saved in the Overview/Locator map's power up data.

When the aircraft is sat on the ground, the departure airport's available runways are now displayed within the 'on-screen' Local Weather Report. Similar to the destination and alternates, these runways are always listed in preferred order of use based on the current surface wind direction.

Corrected some anomalies with selecting weather reports via the on-screen 4 - Flight Plan En Route Weather Reports section. Clicking anywhere on a displayed weather report will return to displaying the 'en route' station list.

The weather report main menu selection has been changed. If you now select the Destination Weather Report or one of the Alternate Weather Reports and that station is not currently on the weather map the software will search the list of Flight Plan En-Route stations, if a match is found the current weather for the remote station will be displayed otherwise the usual Not On Weather Map message will be displayed.
