XPX 10.30b1 looks really good! ;-)

After installing the 10.30b1 update, I did a little FSEconomy flying in the Carendao Cessna Turbo Centurion, mainly over the French alps and Italy, and I really liked what I´ve seen! XPX just became a little better once more!

do cloud shadows come with beta now?

There were always there in XPX. Maybe they got a little more intense with this release, but I can't tell you for sure. I am using the dataref editor plugin to change some art controls, including the cloud shadows, anyways.

What is required to use the dataref editor plugin.  What I mean by that is, is it easy or complex to use.

Only the plugin itself. It lets you display and change datarefs and art controls within the running sim. Many people do these tweaks with "flywithlua", I prefer to set the values with the editor before I start flying, so I can change the values slightly every time, depending on the time of day, the weather, my mood, etc. ;-)

It's not hard to do at all, you might want to have a look at my YT channel www.youtube.de/schmeichel75

There you'll find the 2 part video ("how to get an ultra realistic...") in which I describe what to download and how to use it!

What's your percentage of cloud puffs in rendering settings?

Good shots too!

Cloud puffs are set to 20%. Glad you like the shots.

But they just don't do it justice, one has to see it in person, and in motion. This sim is so immersive, so fluid, looks so appealing, especially with the new improvements. The transition into and out of clouds looks so real now! ;-)
