@LDP1949

Yes, I was referring to Pilot2ATC.  Should have made the clearer.

I downloaded the demo and tried to run full screen using two monitors, but was unable.  It would have been great to run Pilot2ATC on the second monitor.

So, I started investigating and found a statement somewhere from the author stating that it could not be done.  Sorry, I do not remember if that was in the documentation or at their forum.  In any case, the statement confirmed my findings.

I suggest you check out the Pilot2ATC Forum on AVSIM and review the post entitled" 'Update 1.3.0.2 Preview Released'. You'll find some interesting information there recently posted by the program creator in response to my query on this topic.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, I understand that it can be used in a hidden way by reducing it.  I just assumed that everyone prefers to run in full screen.

But, to get full visual benefit of the software, with moving maps and all, it must be in windowed mode.  It will be interesting to see how this progresses.  As I said in an earlier post, the author seems enthusiastic and from reading his forum, is very responsive.

I wish him well with his project.

Using PFE but wanting to try PRO - ATC anyone give it a thumbs up before i buy it tomorrow?

This app works fine for me...

Most users on the PATC forums are unhappy with no updates for over a year... this was primarily due to a rash of frequent updates in the early days of release... the author has decided to completely rewrite the app from scratch and states it will be in beta testing in the next 3 weeks...

The author states users can contribute voice packs to be included, but I haven't seen any yet..

So.. Does it work - For me it does

Do I use it - Every time I fly..

I've tried PFE several times. Here's my honest opinion on the add-on:

1) Difficult to install.

2) Hard to setup.

3) Unreliable. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not.

4) Expensive.

However, when the program worked it was amazing. I like the older voices better than the new voices. It's the only ATC add-on that I've tried that reminds me of FU III. The older voices do not sound robotic.

I don't have it installed, but I'll try it again with the new update. Maybe I'll have better luck this time around.

I have tried them all and for me, while I think it is essential that whatever program I use must be as close to bug free as possible and "not" require "workarounds" every time I fly, it is a prerequisite for me that it is procedurally correct. If there is a little work in setting up a program that gives me this, then it is a small price to pay.

VOX ATC, RC4 & PFE are in this category IMO.
