Jetstream JS4100 Gauges & Display Problem

Recommended Posts

.

Hello,

I have recently done a FSX re-install .and  JS4100 re-install plus SP1

The problem is that some of the displays are blank - some have the wrong data in the wrong place ( i.e altimeter seems to be wrongly put into the main info panel - above the yoke). Engine data  panel shows only dial outline no data - FMS seems dead. Co-pilot side  Radio panel & FMS have wrong dials showing. It's  all very odd.

On the original installation - this didn't happen - All worked well.

Can someone out here offer a solution or a fix? I'd be very grateful

Thanks to all

Did you Install FSX + SP1 (or acceleration e.g. (Is FSX up to date/).

Did you download a fresh copy of JS4100 from Flight One and then do the reinstall ? test it / then do SP1 / test it again?

Did you try the tutor flight .. does it load properly?

Did you load the Cessna at KSEA first then JS4100?

Hi vonmar,

Thanks for your prompt  response. I can answer as follows:-

I re-installed FSX Gold + Acceleration + SP1 + SP2

My copy is a DVD in a box  (not a download) Not tested before installing SP1 though.

I tried the tutor flight - exact same problem occurs no change

Ditto Cessna at KSEA - no change same problem again.- no change.

Hopefully there are other ideas to try.

Thanks again

Do you have other payware now also installed?

If so, are they ok?

Default FSX aircraft OK?

2D and VC?

Hi again - Yes all default aircraft work OK  plus another 3rd party complex plane I recently installed works OK too. 2d & VC fine too. Problem only seems to be with the JS4100 - a real shame as I use to fly it all the time - Now its useless :(.

Thanks

Well. my thought is ... possibly ... a corrupted JS4100 CD or missing font files.

I would submit a trouble ticket if support does not reply here.

Hi,

Many thanks for that. I thought about it being possibly a font problem, but I'm nervous to look into this ,without technical help!,hopefully Support will pick this up.

Thanks

Franklin,

Do you have the JS4100 on CD?

Did you Uninstall JS4100 prior to redoing FSX?

Sorry for the late reply - my JS41 is a download.

I did not uninstall prior to rebuilding FSX - I uninstalled it after  - not sure this matters but FSX was moved during the rebuild from a HDD to a SSD.

I do not know about moving FSX ... Uninstalling from an old drive then installing on a new drive I could understand.

Same with PMDG .. Uninstall ... then install again.

In your case .. better to submit a ticket to PMDG .. to get a full licensed copy working again on you new setup.
