Fsx Menu Sliders Grey

Recommended Posts

Hi Chaps

Firstly my sincere apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere on the forum.  I have been looking I promise!

I have had fsx for some time and have encountered all the usual problems with getting the program running etc etc!

I noticed the other day that all the sliders in the settings menu have turned from green to grey! I don't see any real difference in performance but was wondering if this is a precursor to a meltdown?  I have just added a networked pc to the mix with simconnect.  I uninstalled everything yesterday and just reinstalled fsx and then acceleration.  this still did not solve the grey slider bar problem.

has anyone else encountered this strange behaviour?

i'd really appreciate any help or advice you guys could offer!

thanks again

pete

HI JSkorma

Thanks for your reply mate.  I figured it out just now! I have connected a capture card to stream through hdmi and this seems to be the reason.  If i plug the dvi back in and disable the hdmi it changes colour again! It doesn't effect their operation. i presume the programe is detecting a different input.

many thanks again

pete

Could be that everything is in 16 bit color with that first set up.

Thanks Doug for the message, this is a great forum for the many and varied mysteries of Fsx! JSkorna thanks I will go and check the settings of the two gpu's when I get back from nights.

Is it normal for there to be two entries in the gpu's drop down menu? Is it because I have one monitor on dvi and one on hdmi?

Thanks again guys really appreciate the help!
