fsx being very laggy

recently fsx has been very laggy i dont really think its always been like that, what could be the problem? it lags even when i try lowering some of the settings.

i have a fairly mid-high end laptop:

 

DELL INSPIRON 15R SE

 

windows 8.1 64bit

 

intel 3632qm 2.2-3.2ghz

 8gb ram

radeon hd 7730m

May not be all fsx - make sure you run ccleaner - malware programs and spyware programs or you could get P3D

Laggy is such a non descript term ...

 

I had issues with my throttle controls where I would move them and about a second later they would move on screen...

 

I moved the devices from 2 usb 3.0 port to usb 2.0 ports and now they work fine...
