Weather Radar

So i had to reinstall my fsx but before i reinstalled my FSX my weatehr radar worked without having ASN, i'm shure i'm not the only one that has that, my weather radar worked with default and fs globar real weather, but now it's not working i have latest fsuipc installed 4.936, is there a way to make it work again?

The weather radar is designed for ASN. It may seem to work with other weather engines from time to time, but in essence, it's doing exactly the thing that has had PMDG holding back for the last few years: presenting a pretty cloud map.

There's a reason PMDG says it only works with ASN, and it's not because they have shares at HiFi.

A cloud map and a weather radar are not the same thing. A cloud map may be a pretty little picture, but it's absolutely useless.

Yea i know it was only made with ASN but it's fun to stare at it when you have some time on your hands...

Try deleting your fsuipc.ini file and it let rebuild itself when you start fsx

Where can i find the .ini file? i cant find it in my modules folder

Should be in your fsx/ modules have  another look you might have missed it

Try the Trial version of asn  see if it  works  than

Then buy ASN... it works brilliant.... not only because of the nice colours on the ND....

This discussion is bordering on piracy.  I wouldn't suggest that it's fully there, but utilizing a feature of a (paid)  program without actually paying for said program...eh...getting a little grey, aren't we?

Do you have to buy ASN for the weather radar to work ? (i dont know what asn is)

Yes, you need to buy ASN (Active Sky Next) to have w working weather radar with the PMDG 777.....
