double commands VRinsight CDU II problem

Recommended Posts

When I try to put in a flightplan, the CDU does not accept double commands.

For example, I'll try to put in ICAO EHGG, the second G won't do.

when i try to put in 330 ft the second 3 won't do.

So everytime I need to hit the same button 'twice' the CDU does not accept the second command

from the same button.

i have tried to reinstall the drivers, without succes....

?????

Leave a longer gap between button presses and it should work. Previously people were complaining that the panels were sometimes double pressing by mistake, so I presume VRinsight added a facility to stop the double entry of characters. If you want to speed the rate up a little, open the CDU2.ini file that is inside the VRinsight bin folder and change the update time = entry to a lower number, try 10 instead. You will need to adjust this in the specific section of the CDU2.ini that relates to the aircraft you are having a problem with.

Cheers, Andy.

Thanks for your reply Andydigital,

I tried to push the buttons all differend ways, but unfortunately it's not the solution for my problem.

I posted my problem on several forums, no one seems to be familiar with this problem.

I've send a mail to VRinsight tech.support, they are not responding or what so ever.

So I have this wondefull looking CDU and my fingers itch to program the CDU and fly :O :)

Hopefully it's just a matter of (short)time, and there will be someone who can help me out here.

Thanks again Andydigital!!

Did you try my previous suggestion of editing the CDU2.ini file in the folder below;

C:\Program Files (x86)\VRInsight\bin

All you need to do is change a number from say 100 to 10 and try again.

i.e. change the number show below in red from 100 to 10.

[Aircraft31]    // PMDG 777X
ModuleEx =
Module  = ../CDU-II/SFP2_CDU2_KeyCmd.dll
KeyMap1 = ../CDU-II/KeyMap/SFP2_CDU2_PMDG_777X.dat
KeyMap2 =

Win_Name = VRinsight CDU-II
Win_X =-770
Win_Y =1211
Win_W =772
Win_H =683
Win_UX = 20
Win_UY = 40

Win_Name_Ex =
Win_X_Ex =
Win_Y_Ex =
Win_W_Ex =
Win_H_Ex =
Win_UX_Ex =
Win_UY_Ex =

KBD_Enable= false

SleepTime = 0
UpdateTime = 100

Install_0.TYPE = edit
Install_0.SRC_PATH = ../CDU-II/Aircraft/PMDG_B777X/FSX/panel
Install_0.DST_PATH = /SimObjects/Airplanes/PMDG 777-200LR/panel
Install_0.CFG_FILE = panel.cfg

Cheers, Andy.

Thanks a lot Andydigital!!

Editing the .ini file solved the CDU problem.

Default setting was "updatetime= -1", changed it to 5 and works fine.

Thanks again!!
