Ezdok P3Dv2.3

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just installed Ezdok with its 1.17 Version and also with the p3d beta version, and I also added the right text into the exe. When loading P3D it says :

"Couldn´t patch EZCA.exe propely. Maybe wrong version?Reebot your system and try again.
looks like this"

But anyway after loading I see anyway the Ezca tool bar but dynamic head movements and middle mouse button doesnt work anyway??
Everything works fine but theres no middle mouse button and dynamic head movement effect, even when I toggle the sliders to maximum!

Heres the exe file .

Are you going yo dry up various Virtual Cockpit views?

Is your aircraft.cfg edited to include the Ezdok camera info?

For your F22 aircraft (and any other P3D aircraft) cfg file.

Manually add this:

[CameraDefinition.201]
Title=EZdok Aircraft Universal camera
Guid={D8D67955-2E9B-4e75-9D8B-8EFFBBFAC65B}
Description=Universal camera for EZdok cam utility
Origin=Center
SnapPbhAdjust=Swivel
SnapPbhReturn=FALSE
PanPbhAdjust=Swivel
PanPbhReturn=FALSE
Track=None
ShowAxis=FALSE
AllowZoom=TRUE
InitialZoom=0.40
ShowWeather=Yes
InitialXyz=0,0,0
InitialPbh=10, 0, 0
XyzAdjust=TRUE
Category=Aircraft
MomentumEffect=FALSE
ClipMode=Minimum
HotKeySelect=4

Head movement can be set up for each view you have in Ezdok

I did a screenshot of my F22 throttle view with no head movement
I did a screenshot of my F22 pilot view with head movement
I did a screenshot of where to put the cfg edit ... at the end of any aircraft cfg you want to use Ezdok in.

In addition to Vaughan's advice, here's a tip: You don't need to retype the camera definition. Simply copy it from any FSX aircraft config file.

That is why I gave him the info .. so he could copy what I posted and paste it where I indicated..

But, I did assume it would be obvious to the OP.

Hi vonmar

I allready had that entry on the aircraft.cfg but it still wont work ?

Is it because I removed Simconnect.xml and Simconnect.cfg. ? I removed those 2 files only in my XPAX Folder ( HifiTechnologie Add-On)

You need to add a Virtual Cockpit view like in the screenshot. I posted for you.

My shot above is allready a virtual cockpit view.

I will try one more time:

You have to look at the screenshots I did for you.

After you add your VC views to EZdok all will be ok.

Until then, you have no Ezdok view and no Ezdok head shakes, random motion etc. etc.

Have to done the EZdok setups like in these videos?

Hi again,

Can you maybe send me your Camera configuration so I can import it and see if it worsk for me?

Camera positions and camera effects are two different things. You need to import the camera effects from another aircraft when you are starting out as its too complex to setup for a newbie, export the effects from a similar default aircraft that is included with EZDok, then import the effects back to the aircraft you have created. You can even export the whole camera set and effects from a default plane then just adjust the positions to your liking in the new aircraft.

I suggest you watch ALL the tutorial videos on the official forum if you want to learn as much as you can about EZDok, it's difficult to get started but once you get the hang of it you can setup a new aircraft with a dozen cameras and effects inside and out in a couple of minutes flat. Just copy the whole set across to the new aircraft then edit to suit.

Have a play with my sets in the zip below if you want.

Very true, excellent advice.

Haven't had any luck with EzDok in P3D 2.3 ... it was working for me, in 2.2 - but now I just get an "FSX process not found" ...

Im getting same problem as Anden145.

Just can't seem to get it to work. Have tried all the suggestions... no dice.

Oh, well. Ill just wait for an update. Shouldnt have to jump through hoops to get it to work anyway, especially when OpusFX works so well, too.

Maybe one of you guys who are in the know would be kind enough to post a step by step guide to installing EZDOK in P3D V2.3
or if you know of one that already exist post a link:-)

I had it installed in V2.2 but I had a terrible time with Key Strokes just not working intermittently.

Oh, well. Ill just wait for an update

I would'nt hold my breath on that. The general conscenous it that the developer
is out of the game due to Health issues and I wish him well.

The only thing stopping me from going to OPUS is that fact that I already
own EZDOK. FS $ are tight:-0
