radarcontact.fsuipc.rcv4.code

Recommended Posts

I've been away from Radar Contact for a while. But left it installed.

When I try to run the Rebuild Scenery Database I get:

Runtime Error 75:

Path/File access error

After having FSX running and selection a flight plan in RC and configuring General/Voices and then pressing Start RC. I get the following error

radarcontact.fsuipc.rcv4.code

.Flight / .WX Path has been set.

I don't know what else to tell. But what am I missing?

Thanks to all who reply.

Bill

You must have a flight actually loaded parked if you wish before pressing the RC Start button. Just having the FS menu up will not do the job. The panel clock should be running.

Be sure you have updated fsuipc and makerwys.exe from the pinned links and then redo the scenery rebuild.

Regarding error 75 be sure RC is listed as safe with any anti-virus application and your paths are set correctly including when asked for the path when doing a scenery rebuild.

For Win 7 you also need to do the following:

Make a shortcut to Rcv4.exe. Right click on that shortcut. Click properties. Enable Run As Admin on this first screen. Now click Advanced. On this second screen click this second Run As  Admin as well (it's different). Click OK to return to the first screen. Now click Apply to save these changes and then OK to close the properties window.

Check the pinned help topic which also contains an FAQ.

I have done all the above, including owning a lic. version of FSUIPC. I even re-purchased RC4. ran makernwys. I try to rebuild data base but asks for path to FS, which I put in,  Still get error.

Win version? RC running by starting it with right click and selecting run as admin? Flight loaded with electronics on (clock ticking)?

In your modules folder you should have a text file fsuipc.log. Anything interesting in there? It should show fsuipc running inside your FS version.

The latest fsuipc is here:

The latest makerwys is here:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/

Is this happening at all locations? With default aircraft?

Check the properties in rcv4/data for a4.csv and r4.csv for time and date by right clicking on those files to insure they were built when you ran the rc scenery database rebuilder from within RC.

Good Evening.  I re-installed the program, but kept having the same problem. One thing I did differently was to load a payware aircraft, after a default plane loaded. Once done, made sure radios were on after engine start. I then to run program from app symbol in lower left of screen.  I am running win10. from there I started rc4 as admin., which I was doing before with the exception of which app i was using.  The splash screen came up asking for reg. key. Once I put in info, I restarted RC4 and loaded up flight plan, and no problem. Started like it should. Wish I could pin point what exactly I did so you can pass on this to other customers who may run into similar situation.  Thanks for your help.  S. Sumner

One more point I just discovered. Like before, when program works I start from windows 10 app in lower corner as admin. When I start from there, a default lear jet shows up as aircraft that is going to fly. From the same location ,I can pin the icon to task bar. When I start from there, the aircraft that shows up is my aal 127 aircraft that I had loaded earlier when I was having trouble. It appears that different info is being loaded depending on where I try to start the program from. Ever hear of this type of problem before?

When you start FS and it goes to the menu system your default flight you designated runs in the background initializing a lot of services in the FS component engines. You should use a complex default aircraft like a King Air, Lear, etc. parked suitably. Then create a flight or pull up a saved flight to load into FS at your location of choice. Adjust weather, etc. Advance time by one minute to refresh ai to your new weather pattern. Set up your aircraft and when ready to receive clearance and pushback start up RC being sure to start it with application, not user, admin privileges so it can reach within FS to communicate with fsuipc.

It looks like there might have possibly been a permission issue somewhere.
